This elegant and refreshing salad is perfect for cocktail or sophisticated dinner party. The Sea Urchin roe brings a luxurious, oceanic flavor that perfectly complements the creamy, ripe avocados. Paired with vibrant tomatoes and the crisp bite of red onion, all dressed in a light lemon-infused olive oil, this dish is a delightful harmony of textures and tastes.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tin of Sea urchin caviar
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • Fresh cilantro leaves (optional)

Preparation

  1. Peel and finely chop the red onion.
  2. Dice the tomato into small cubes.
  3. Peel and dice the avocados into cubes and drizzle them with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  4. Mix the salad in a large bowl combining the avocado, onion, and tomato.
  5. Add the olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste and mix all the ingredients well.
  6. Incorporate the sea urchin caviar by gently folding it into the mixture. (Be careful not to break the delicate caviar).
  7. Serve the salad on individual plates.
  8. Garnish each plate with a slice of lemon on the edge.
  9. Optionally: Add a few fresh cilantro leaves for extra color and freshness
  10. Optionally: Add a touch of spice with some chopped chili if you like.
